Submission privacy

You can browse the collection without an account. If you recommend a product, we collect the information you choose to send.

What we collect

The product name and link, how long you have used it, your recommendation, optional drawbacks and category, and an optional email address. We also store the submission time, review status and private editorial notes.

How we use it

We use submissions to research products and improve our collection. If you provide an email address, we may use it to ask about your suggestion. It is not added to a marketing mailing list. Your submission and email are not publicly displayed. We will seek permission before publishing an attributed personal story.

Storage and retention

Online submissions are processed and stored using Cloudflare services. Access to the review queue requires administrator authentication. Submission records are retained for up to 12 months and removed during routine service activity after that period. An editor may retain independently researched product information in our catalog.

Abuse prevention

Cloudflare Turnstile checks help prevent automated submissions. The service uses your IP address for verification and a one-way, salted identifier for short-lived submission limits; our submission database does not store your raw IP address. Hosting and security providers may process request metadata under their own policies.

Optional contact and requests

Providing an email address is optional. To request correction or removal, use the recommendation form with “Privacy request” as the product name, the original product link and your submission reference in the message. Include the same email address, if you previously provided one, so we can follow up. Do not submit identity documents.

Browsing and administration

We do not run advertising analytics or store your catalog searches. Administrator login uses a secure session cookie. External retailers have their own privacy policies.
